Description

This coffee gets its name from Jorge Rojas, a fourth-generation coffee producer from Planadas, Tolima, renowned for his work in specialty coffee. At his three-hectare farm, Finca la Roca, he cultivates Caturra, Geisha, and Pink Bourbon varieties. Through innovative fermentation and drying techniques, Jorge achieved the prestigious honor of becoming a Cup of Excellence finalist.

Jorge's coffee journey began at age 13 when his mother first allowed him to work on the family farm. After learning the intricacies of coffee farming, he inherited a portion of his father's land — the same plot where he grows his coffee today — though the farm has since expanded. Now, after years of experimentation, Jorge has established "La Roca Estate" and just built a wet mill to process coffee cherries from neighboring farms.
